Proactive inspections are the key to having a well-maintained and safe grid

Due to an error with our third-party mailing company, you may have received a postcard on this topic with the incorrect member name. We apologize for the error and confusion.

This summer, our crews may be in your area performing routine inspection and audit work on our electric lines and poles.

In addition to our own staff, we also work with third-party contractors to perform much of this work. To ensure safe and efficient work, some of our contractors are now using drone technology to complete their inspections.

All field teams will have personal protective gear, ID badges, and HCE vehicle decals.

We appreciate your cooperation as our crews take advantage of the nice weather to perform this important safety work.

Announcing our 2024 Board of Directors Election Results

With over 4,000 votes cast, members have re-elected Keith Klesner to a new four-year term on the HCE Board of Directors.

“I am energized to continue this important work at Holy Cross Energy. I’m determined to protect our special home while helping build a more resilient, affordable, and responsible energy future for many years to come.” – Keith

Working together to minimize tree-related outages

By taking the time to plan before you plant, you can help minimize tree-related outages and ensure safe, reliable electric service for you and your neighbors.

To help our members learn about our responsibility to maintain clear zones around power lines, we’ve compiled an extensive new list of “tree-sources” including:

  • Planting tips: “Right Tree, Right Place”
  • A new tree-trimming estimator
  • A list of local, certified tree trimmers
  • Our official Vegetation Management Guidelines
  • Our updated Wildfire Mitigation Plan
