2025 Lineworker Appreciation Day

Thank a Lineworker!

National Lineworker Appreciation Day is April 18

Let’s acknowledge and celebrate the challenging work of electric line workers nationwide!

Our line crews all play an essential role in modernizing and strengthening our electric grid so we can deliver affordable, safe, and reliable power to our members year-round.

Send a message of gratitude here!

Light Up Navajo 2025

An initiative of the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority in coordination with the American Public Power Association, Light Up Navajo brings electricity to families living in Navajo Nation.

Crews from utilities across the United States travel to Navajo Nation to set power poles, run power lines, and prepare homes to receive electric service. From April 6 to July 27, eight volunteer line crews from Colorado electric co-ops will participate in Light Up Navajo IV.

A volunteer crew of five from Holy Cross Energy will be helping the effort the week of June 21.

Navajo Nation is home to approximately 186,500 Navajo citizens, and more than 10,000 families live without basic electricity at home. Brining power to these homes will provide families with modern conveniences such as electric lighting, refrigeration for food, and access to electric heat and air conditioning.

In 2024, Light Up Navajo connected 170 homes to the grid.

You can help the Light Up Navajo cause by donating to the Colorado Electric Educational Institute, which supports Colorado electric co-op volunteer line crews for this important and impactful work.
